The BMW 3.5 CSL stands as one of the most iconic touring cars to compete at Le Mans during the 1970s. This legendary "Batmobile," featuring BMW's distinctive aerodynamic bodywork and powerful 3.5-liter straight-six engine, achieved a remarkable 10th place finish at the 1976 24 Hours of Le Mans. Driven by the international quartet of Dieter Grohs, Sam Posey, Brian Redman, and Alain de Cadenet, the #42 car demonstrated the competitiveness of BMW's touring car technology against purpose-built prototypes on motorsport's greatest stage.
This 1:43 scale reproduction captures the distinctive BMW 3.5 CSL #42 in its historic 1976 Le Mans configuration. Part of our Le Mans Collection, this partwork edition delivers excellent detail while celebrating one of BMW's most memorable Le Mans campaigns from the era when touring cars could still compete for overall victory.
This partwork edition represents BMW's touring car heritage at Le Mans. Please note:
