The leaves are usually harvested in autumn, after they have reached full colour. They are then further processed according to the intended use, for example dried and cut or made into powder. You can use the leaves cut and brew them as tea, for example, or grind them into a fine powder before use. To make ointments, heat the dried leaves with coconut oil, then filter the oil and allow it to cool in a container.
