Product Description
Other names for freekeh include roasted green wheat, frikkeh, and farikah. It's healthy whole grain wheat that's been roasted when still fresh and green. In Ancient Aramaic, the name Freekeh means "the rubbed one." It's also an excellent side dish, and if you make too much freekeh, you can use it in a cold salad like tabbouleh by mixing it with fresh herbs. Freekeh is a good source of fiber and protein. Freekeh comes in two varieties: cracked and whole. This freekeh has been cracked and fragmented into tiny pieces. This allows it to cook faster and has a softer texture than the entire freekeh. Quail, partridge, pigeon, and peppers are commonly stuffed with cooked freekeh. Vegans love Freekeh Cracked Roasted Wheat Grain because it is GMO-free.
