Bee bread (perga) is a fermented, enzymatically-activated food made by bees inside the hive, with around 25% honey or nectar, and 70% pollen. Considered far superior to flower pollen, protein bioavailability is significantly enhanced. Bee bread has a large variety of minerals and has high quantities of iron, cobalt, phosphorus, calcium. It is one of the richest natural foods containing selenium. Bee bread is also an excellent source of potassium and B-group vitamins. Amino acids, which are predigested for easy assimilation in the ratio that the human body needs, constitute about 15% of the dry substance in bee bread. Collected in Estonia from bee hives which stand in the meadows near to the small forests and far away from big cities with no industry or factories nearby. Produced to high ecological standards, our bee bread is unprocessed, 100% pure and natural, and free from antibiotics and pesticides. Free from gluten, corn, wheat, soya and dairy and GMO ingredients. The granules stay fresh for 2.5 years if stored in a dry, cool and dark place.
